Twilight star Kellan Lutz swings into action for new Tarzan film!

Kellan Lutz, best known for his character Emmett Cullen in the Twilight films, has taken on the role of long-haired, tree-swinging hero, Tarzan.The 27-year-old actor is the new king of the jungle, but sadly we won’t be seeing him in the flesh, or in a loincloth for that matter - the updated version of the Edgar Rice Burroughs classic is going to be an animated motion capture in 3D.

It's thought that the Queen has invited those in direct line of succession to be by her side at the ceremony, and this includes the three generations of Royals - Prince Harry, Prince Charles and Prince Philip.

For the Sunday, Kate, Wills and other Royals will sail down the Thames on the Queen's Royal barge for the Jubilee Pageant, and will also appear on the balcony at Buckingham Palace for the flypast.

While playing Wild Gunman in the Café 80, the companion of a young Elijah Wood (who even then looked hobbit-y) tells Marty, “You mean you have to use your hands? That’s like a baby’s toy.” It’s not totally clear if he’s upset because the game requires a controller or because it requires you to move – but we’re actually very close to games that require neither. Kinect for the Xbox 360 is a controller-less gaming system which will be launched later this year (and isn’t entirely unlike the PlayStation EyeToy which was released in 2003). Meanwhile, scientists have been working on games which can be controlled using only the power of your mind. They’re not in stores just yet – but they might be very soon.

Okay, so we can’t hydrate pizzas, but we can hydrate mashed potatoes – and they’re awful. Also, while today’s microwaves can be set to intelligently cook food based on factors such as its weight, they really shouldn’t be left to their own devices. Soon, though, very soon…

During an interview at the time of the film’s release, director Robert Zemeckis claimed that the hoverboards were real but not released to the public due to ‘parental safety concerns’. This was a lie. While larger hoverbikes, floating bars and a prototype hoverboard all exist (though that prototype only works if no one stands on the board). we’re still a few years away from anything like the flying skateboard depicted in the film.

This is one invention that we definitely made happen – though we wish we hadn’t, because it’s ugly as sin. In fact, as is often the case with science fiction speculation, this is more retro than futuristic. See also the horrible fashion trend known as nu-rave.
Now, here are 5 inventions that are nearly in the shops – just not quite.

Self service gas stations

With the rise of self service in shops and eateries, can it really be long before we’re robo-serving ourselves at the gas station? We suspect not.

Social networking

While Marty is conniving to short change his employer before getting fired by his boss, Ito ‘Jitz’ Fujitsu, the screen throws up information such as the caller’s hobbies, favorite drinks, occupation and least favorite foods (Ito hates beer). While this might have seemed more game show than social media when the film was made 20 years ago, this is precisely the kind of thing we really do have today on applications such as Twitter, MySpace and Facebook. If you are unlucky enough to get sacked on online, you’re going to get sacked with friend recommendations and Farmville gifts floating in the background.

Remote credit payments

Imagine moving money to someone else’s bank account while you’re on the phone – already here! You can use online banking or PayPal to transfer cash, you can use a home card reader or, in the future, you might be able to use Jack Dorsey’s Square to authorise credit payments.

Self–fastening shoes

Apparently in the world of tomorrow our clothes will self-fasten. This is an idea that we can’t see soon enough, but lo and behold, it’s already here.

Thumb print reading door locks

Though they might not be ubiquitous, thumb print entry systems aren’t that rare either. It’s not unusual to see them in secure access areas, while many companies are now adding thumb readers to company laptops – so every time you log onto your company computer you have to use the fingerprint scanner.

IMAX 3D, anyone? We might be safe from a holographic Jaws 19 jumping out of the screen, but with the new era of full color 3D we are soon going to be exposed to such horrors as Piranha 3-D. Furthermore, there are suggestions that home sets will be able to carry 3D which won’t require glasses at some point in the very near future.

In the movie, Marty Jr uses a TV to watch six different channels at once – which is more split screen than even Jack Bauer needed. If there’s one thing we like it’s television, so what could be better than watching half a dozen different shows at once? While it might not be the most useful invention, it really does already exist.

Doc Brown might be able to chuck a can of beer and a banana into a Mr Fusion Home Energy Reactor to kick start the DeLorean, but you really can run a car on household waste. Using a gasifier, any solid, dry organic matter can essentially be converted into gaseous fuel

Get a few million laying around? The Camden, London home where songbird Amy Winehouse lived and died is now on the market.

Winehouse, 27, was found dead in her apartment house last July. An inquest into her death ultimately concluded that later the Grammy winner was five times the legal alcohol limit at the time of her death. The “Me and Mr. Jones” star succumbed to alcohol poisoning, a coroner later determined.
The Camden property is being sold by Amy’s father, former cabbie Mitch Winehouse, who used the place as the headquarters for the Amy Winehouse Foundation after the singer’s death. Mitch purchased the house with his daughter in April 2010.
Family spokesman Chris Goodman tells The Sun that Amy’s old place has become a mecca for grieving fans. Nonetheless, the family has decided to part with it.

“The Winehouses have decided to put the house on the market, with great regret. Amy loved that house but none of the family felt it appropriate that they should live in it. It was not practical to keep it empty while paying for its upkeep. It is a wonderful place and will be a happy family home for someone.”

The house is listed as a “substantial and impressive three double bedroom, three reception room semi-detached period villa with well-proportioned private gardens.” The listing also notes that the 2,500 square-foot home has undergone major refurbishment with features including an “integrated sound system, CCTV and a master suite with vaulted ceiling.”
The asking price is $4.2 million.

Arjun Kapoor's Next is 'Aurangzeb,' Plays Double Role

Arjun Kapoor has already started working on his second film, Aurangzeb, once again a YRF production.
The 25-year-old Bollywood newcomer will play a double role in the film and no qualms about the risks involved in a double role so early in his acting career.
"I'm very excited and there really is no risk; there's the challenge of proving that you're capable of handling two different kind of performances in the same film," Arjun told TOI.
The film will be directed by debutant Atul Sabharwal, writer of Phir Milenge and Darna Mana Hai.
Currently Arjun is preparing for his role; filming will begin later in the summer.
Arjun considers Salman Khan's double role in Judwaa as one of the most memorable.

Deepika Padukone and the team of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani wrapped the Udaipur, Rajasthan schedule of the film on Thursday, May 31.

The one month schedule started on May 1 and comprised mostly night shoots.

Filming started in mid March with a lengthy schedule in Manali, Himachal.

During the Udaipur schedule Deepika took short breaks to - promote her upcoming release 'Cocktail' on Extraaa Innings IPL T20, attend Virendra Sehwag's IPL party in Delhi with co-star Ranbir Kapoor and fly to Mumbai with director Ayaan Mukherjee and Ranbir to attend Karan Johar's 40th birthday bash in Mumbai.

On an aside, we couldn't critique Deepika's makeover at Johar's party because her flight got majorly delayed and she didn't arrive till 2 am! All photographers, including ours, had left by the time.

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is due in theaters in January 2013.

Exes Deepika and Ranbir are romantically paired in the film that additionally features Kalki Koechlin, Evelyn Sharma and Aditya Roy Kapoor. Rana Daggubati plays a cameo.

Deepika will be soon headed to Turkey for filming of Abbas-Mastan's Race 2.

Salman Khan Reserves Eid 2013 For Upcoming Release with Sooraj Barjatya

Salman Khan has reportedly scheduled his next film with Sooraj Barjatya for a Eid 2013 release.

This will be Salman's fifth Eid release in a row - Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011) and the upcoming Ek Tha Tiger on August 19, 2012.

Salman, 46, is excited to not only work with pal Barjatya but also about the script. It is in a completed stage and has been written keeping the actor in mind.

He has reportedly preponed the filming schedule from February 2013 to November 2012.

"Initially, Sooraj's film was to start in February next year. But now, Salman is so enthusiastic about the script and working again with his director buddy that he has decided to prepone it to November," a source told IBN.

Salman's next with brother Sohail Khan will release on Christmas Day 2013.

Salman and Barjatya are coming together after their last film Hum Saath-Saath Hain in 1999.

The film is a family drama, a signature Rajshri film. Salman will play the role of an older brother, a first for him in Rajshri films.

Arjun Kapoor, 26, will most likely play the younger brother, a rebel who changes his ways after his older brother's mentoring. Arjun, who made his acting debut with recently released Ishaqzaade, is the son of producer Boney Kapoor and cousin of actress Sonam Kpoor.

With hotties like these two in the same film, we can hardly wait to see it!

Kristen Stewart never thinks about how successful her movies are going to be when she signs up. The 22-year-old actress - who has starred in one of the best-received movie franchises of all time as Bella Swan in the 'Twilight Saga' - no longer thinks about how her films affect people because she has to decide if she likes them first of all.
She said: "I couldn't imagine doing a project with the idea of how it's going to affect people. It really has to affect you first, and if it does, then maybe it will affect other people ... I think that people who don't have that are clearly choosing things to become famous actresses. "They're clearly choosing things to make money. I mean, I love Los Angeles - I love living here. But I wish that we could make things without the need to hit a home run every single time."

Katrina Kaif, born to a Kashmiri father, will be filming in the state for the first time in her acting career for Yash Chopra's Next.

The film additionally headlines Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.

In February, a lengthy schedule of the film was shot in London, Katrina's mother's hometown. Katrina's current family home is also in London.

The next schedule of the film was shot in Mumbai at YRF Studios.

The Kashmir schedule is likely to start mid-August.

She accessorized with Brian Atwood nude platform sandals with ankle straps and towering heels, stud earrings, and a Ferragamo clutch.
During the event she broke her sandal heel.
"My heel just broke at Glamour UK Awards! Haha, I fell down all by myself in the bathroom! No one saw me, so I was laughing all by myself!" Eva Tweeted along with a photo of she sitting on a chair and tending to her shoe.
Her hair was styled in a sleek high ponytail. She wore smokey eye makeup, peach blush, and pink lipgloss. Black nails rounded off her glamorous look for the awards evening.
The Desperate Housewives alum told the media at the show that Victoria Beckham is her Style Icon. She finds her "classic and simple and always looks great."
Talking about her glamorous looks in Cannes, Eva said her stylists have it the hardest to dress her for the ultra glam annual event as she is not the one making any decisions for her look at the airport, street, or the red carpet while in Cannes. She said it takes about two hours to dress for a Cannes red carpet appearance.

Sofia Vergara took no prisoners in a strapless pink minidress at Glamour's Women of the Year Awards in London Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
The 39-year-old hottie pulled out one of her usual showstoppers, a tight, revealing dress with plenty of oomph and figure-flattering details. The frock, designed by Zac Posen was a printed pink affair with a low-cut neckline and a ruffled hem which went well with her coloring as well as her celebrated curves.
Her Posen dress was matched with a pair of opentoe black Christian Louboutin pumps, which really would have been the only thing able to go with its ruffle and bright pattern. She finished it off with jewels from Lorraine Schwartz.
As for hair, she left it down in waves around her shoulders. Makeup was a bright smoky eye which set off the dress nicely, major blush, and a warm colored lip.
Sofia was in full bloom for the summer event, held at the Berkeley Square Gardens in London.
She received an award for Comedy Actress of the Year.

Kristen Stewart 'pinned' it in a Stella McCartney black and white ensemble at the LA premiere of Snow White and The Huntsman at Westwood Village on Tuesday, May 29.
She wore a charcoal blazer, black mini skirt and a white high collar buttoned up shirt – office attire barring the short length of her skirt showing her impressive pair of pins!
The 22-year-old actress attended the screening along with her co-star Sam Claflin, director Rupert Sanders and producer Joe Roth.
She accessorized with pointy black and white platform pumps and a black onyx ring.
Her hair was styled in an intricate braided updo with few loose tendrils framing her face.
Her makeup included uber smokey eyes, glossy pink lipstick and pink blush. Red nail polish finished off her look.
Snow White and The Huntsman is due for release in the US on June 1.
After promoting the film in UK and France during Cannes Film Festival, Kristen along with her Australian co-star Chris Hemsworth and Sanders will be in Sydney on June 19 for the Australian premiere.
Stewart and Chris will be presenting at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 3.

The floor grazing chiffon number was from the UK designer's SS2012 collection and featured twin ruffled shoulder straps, plunging sweetheart neckline, sheer bodice with frill and ribbon bow detail. The full skirt featured a ruffled peplum on the cinched waist.
The dress had a lingerie inspired look, but Alba rocked it to the T.
She accessorized with black strappy heels, Alexander McQueen clutch and Hilary Tisch jewels.
Her hair was styled in a sleek updo by London's celebrity hair stylist James Brown. Her makeup was done by her pal, makeup artist, Lauren Andersen. She wore dewy plum lipstick, glittering eye shadow and lashings of mascara. A swipe of natural blush accentuated her flawless and luminous skin.
The 31-year-old actress said she took about an hour to dress for the event, where she was honored with Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Alba said she was at the event to celebrate the women and meet all the glamorous ladies whom she does not get to meet otherwise due to her busy life, and was headed to China and New York immediately after the Awards evening.
Another celebrity in Alexander McQueen was Lily Collins, 23, who wore a Pre AW12 green jacquard bustier dress.

Glee's Lea Michele hit a high note dressed in midnight blue for the Glamour Women of the Year Awards 2012 in London, May 29.
The 25-year-old hottie and current flame of Cory Monteith showed every curve in a dark blue off-the-shoulder gown which draped to the side and rivalled every other star on the red carpet in its, well, glamor quotient.
Her couture gown came from the Zac Posen's pre-Fall 2012 collection and looked as if it was made for the star.
Its dark color went well with her brunette mane, which was pulled back in a sleek ponytail. A pair of dangling statement earrings made sure her ears got the royal treatment. Her makeup included smoky blue shadows, blue liner, lash extensions out to there with red blush and mauve pink lipstick.
The smoky blue palette worked well with her Posen dress while the blush highlighted two of the best cheekbones in the business. Off-pink lip color balances out the intensity of the rest of her makeup and draws attention to her megawatt smile.
When asked what she was looking forward to during awards night, the actress gushed "It's just such a wonderful room to be in, with such strong and talented women, so I find it such an honor." Her inspiration was reportedly Stella McCartney, whose clothes she loves.
Lea was honored with the award for television actress, which was well earned. As for future red carpet appearances, Stella are you listening?
