| Actress Shilpa Shetty Welcomes a Baby Boy |
A proud dad Tweeted soon after the baby was born:
"God has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Both mother and baby are fine. I am thrilled to bits!!!!!!"
"A big thank you to my wife @TheShilpaShetty for the bestest gift ever, DR Kiran Cohelo and all the staff at Hinduja Hospital!" he added.
Shilpa's pal Sameera Reddy congratulated the couple on her Twitter:
"it's a boy!! Congrts @TheRajKundra & @TheShilpaShetty ! welcome to their little bundle of joy! hugs! :)"
The baby was born 8 and half lbs.
Later in the day Kundra said in a statement:
“We are yet to christen him with a name and will happily share it with all soon. Just seeking everyone's prayers and blessings.”
Shilpa and Raj got married in November 2009. This is the first child for her while her husband has a young daughter from ex-wife Kavita.
The South Indian star signed with cordlife, a stem cell bank, a week ago and urged her Twitter fans to do the same.
"Signed up with "Cordlife" for stem cell banking. All pregnant women must be aware and know the benefits of stem cell Banking,truly amazing." Shilpa tweeted on May 15.
She was also announced as the face of CordLife, Asia's largest stem cell banking network.
Congrats to the new parents!
