| Jennifer Lopez IS Quitting American Idol |
Publicly, Jennifer Lopez is maintaining that she hasn't made up her mind over returning to American Idol for her third season, but privately she has decided to quit.
During her recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, when asked by the host whether she was returning next year, Lopez responded.
"I don't know...I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down...which was nice the first time...[My kids] are getting older. They're about to go to school. I just don't know. I don't know."
However, sources tell E! News that Lopez is planning to quit.
"She's just too busy," one source said.
One good reason we may not see her back on Idol is her upcoming MEGA 2012 co-headlining Enrique Iglesias that kicks off June 14 in Panama city.
The North American leg of the tour ends on August 31, but according to E! News she will likely tour abroad and remain busy till the end of the year. She will be on tour when auditions for the next Idol season star.
Fox is understandably reluctant to let their star judge go, but have not commented publicly.
A source close to the production tells E! News that "Fox does not want to let her go. They love her."
