Reese Witherspoon inspired gasps of delight from the crowd in a blue Versace gown at the premiere of her film "Mud" at the Palais des Festivals at Cannes Film Festival 2012 in France Saturday, May 26, 2012.
The premiere saw the former Oscar winner looking her very best and she gave every actress there a run for their money.
Reese, 36, went for a glittering blue evening dress with deep cut neckline, empire waist, and cutout back which showed off her still-amazing figure.
The expectant mom paired her attire with a lot of bling by Chopard. While her ears had diamond drop earrings, she also wore a thick bracelet as well as her wedding ring.
The star of Walk The Line wore her hair upswept in a bun, with bangs brushed to the side. For makeup, she had a smoky blue eye, heavy blush, and subtle lipstick. The colors went well with her choice of dress without overdoing it. She tied it all together with a pair of sky high heels in silver.
Witherspoon always favors bold colors and elegant looks on the red carpet, and tonight was no exception. The only difference was that the empire waist concealed her baby bump well. Its thin multiple straps in front and behind put the emphasis on toned arms and back. A slit in the middle of the gown kept it from looking too traditional and added glamor.
Reese posed for photographs with costar Matthew McConaughey, who was dressed in a black tuxedo for the event. Two Southern hotties in one room, it must have been one sizzling night!
