Co-founder of one of the most influential bands in music history, Robin Gibb, has lost his battle with cancer.
At just 62-years old, Robin passed away Saturday, in a statement confirmed by his family. Gibb, who had been battling colon cancer had slipped into a coma in April, after he contracted pneumonia.
Robin’s twin brother, Maurice Gibb, passed away in 2003 following surgery for an intestinal blockage. Their younger brother, Barry passed away at just 30, in 1988 from heart inflammation.
The Bee Gees will forever hold in place in Disco history….with hits like Stayin’ Alive, How Deep Is Your Love, Night Fever, and If I Can’t Have You.
Rest in Peace, Robin.
