Appearing on Extraaa Innings T20 with Priyanka Chopra in Mumbai May 27 to promote their upcoming film Teri Meri Kahaani, Shahid Kapoor cleared the air on a recent report that he was replacing Salman Khan in Wanted 2.
Quizzed about the TOI report that he had signed on to replace Salman Khan in the Prabhu Deva directed sequel to the 2008 box office hit Wanted 2, Shahid said:
"I don't think anybody can replace Salman Khan. Prabhu Sir and I have been meeting up to do a film together. As we have been meeting, people are jumping to conclusions. We have not decided anything, what and when we will do.... but yes, we both are keen to work together. If something works out great. All these are rumors, I haven't signed anything yet."
Earlier, the TOI had reported that Salman Khan had given his blessings to Prabhu Deva to sign on Shahid.
A source told the publication, "Prabhu and Shahid have met and they are quite excited about the chance of working together. Shaks is a huge fan of the choreographer turned director and has asked him to get the script in place as soon as possible."
On a different note, Shahid and Farhan Akhtar will be co-hosting IIFA 2012.
Shahid will also be performing to Tamil numbers Anathe Andurar, Nakku Mukka and Apdi Podu which are being choreographed by Prabhu Deva.
According to Shahid, since Priyanka Chopra would also be performing during IIFA, the two co-stars "might try and do something on Teri Meri Kahani."
