| Sridevi Scorching at NDTV Greenathon 2012 |
Sridevi rocked a Manish Malhotra sari with net embroidery and matching sleeveless blouse at the NDTV Greenathon 2012 show Sunday May 20. The live performance was taped at Yash Raj Studios in Andheri, Mumbai.
The 48-year-old actress, who was suffering from laryngitis, was introduced to the audience by Greenathon ambassador Priyanka Chopra. She was paid a special tribute by Shweta Tiwari who performed to her famous songs that included mhare hiwde mein (Lamhe), aate jaate gali mein (Chandni), Naino Mein Sapna (Himmatwala) and Hawa Hawai (Mr India).
Priyanka managed to get the actress to do a Hawa Hawai jig with her on stage.
Sridevi chose an aqua blue net sari with mango yellow floral resham thread work embroidery and a champagne scatter of sequins on the edes. She paired it with a matching sleeveless silk blouse.
The light colors flattered her fair skin, while the Manish Malhotra design was formal enough for a televised event.
She accessorized with silver heels and diamond jewels, consisting of drop earrings, a bangle and a ring.
Her sideswept hair, styled in loose waves, framed her face.

Sridevi made a special appearance on the second episode of Aamir Khan's debut TV show 'Satyamev Jayate' to support the cause of child sexual abuse. She also signed a letter to the government asking for a strong law against sexual abuse of children.
