Fresh off the success of Rowdy Rathore, a remake of the Telugu film Vikramarkudu, Akshay Kumar is ready to start filming another South remake, Naam Hai Boss.
Early in the year Akshay, 44, had bought remake rights of Vyshakh's Malyalam film Pokkiri Raja (2010), headlining Mammootty, Prithviraj and Shriya Saran.
Filming will begin in August but Akshay will join the shoot in September after completing major portions of Milan Luthria's Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again.
Akshay will reprise Mammootty's role of Pokkiri Raja. Prithviraj's part will be reportedly played by Pakistani actor and model Imran Abbas.
The remake will be bank rolled by Ashwin Varde and directed by Anthony D'Souza.
D'Souza and Akshay earlier worked together in Blue (2009).
"I was asked to direct the Hindi version as well. Since I had already committed to a few other movies, I couldn't take it up," Vysakh had said back in January.
There were also reports that Akshay had bought rights of a Tamil song 'Appadi Podu' from film Ghilli to be included in Naam Hai Boss to add that extra sizzle to the remake.
