Apt Pupil may not be a patch on the original Stephen King novel, but it’s still a disturbing glimpse of the Holocaust and what happens when you get too close to it. As a seemingly-innocent American boy blackmails a fugitive Nazi into telling him about his experiences running an extermination camp, both of them are caught in a spiral of madness, violence and murder.
