In a movie based on the life of mass murderer Charles Starkweather, Martin Sheen gives a blank-eyed, affectless performance as young spree killer Kit, who goes on a road trip through South Dakota leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. The soppy romance with his teenage girlfriend Holly just makes it even more disturbing.
