Cuddly comedy actor Tony Curtis isn’t someone you’d expect to see playing a sociopathic rapist and murderer. Maybe that’s what makes his performance so unsettling. The 1968 movie The Boston Strangler was so disturbing that it even freaked out film critic and screenwriter Roger Ebert, who wrote: “This film, which was made so well, should not have been made at all.”
