Falling Down

The white supremacist shop owner may only appear relatively briefly in Falling Down, but he’s obviously a crazy sociopath of the worst kind. He owns a real concentration camp gas canister, a rocket launcher and a whole arsenal of automatic weapons — which he’d clearly be glad to see help the vigilante protagonist go on a killing spree against minorities. He’s enough to make Michael Douglas’ character seem normal — and considering the fact that D-Fens has spent the last half hour of the movie spraying bullets at anyone who so much as looks at him funny, that’s pretty impressive.
