Paris Jackson says as a child she didn't understand why dad Michael Jackson would make her and her siblings wear masks when accompanying him in public.
"I was really confused," Paris told Oprah while appearing on Next Chapter of OWN. "I didn't get why I was wearing a mask."
"I understand it now why our dad would want our face covered when we went out without him. We wouldn't be recognized, and we could have a normal childhood," she added.
Paris also told Oprah that she still feels the pain from her father's untimely death nearly three years ago on June 25, 2009.
The 14-year-old budding actress said, "It never gets easier."
On a lighter note, Paris explained why Michael's desire to let his children enjoy their childhood, something he never got to do, ended up making Chuck E. Cheese one of her favorite destinations as a child.
Oprah Winfrey's Next Chapter featuring Paris Jackson airs Sunday on OWN.
