Here’s one time when being a court-appointed lawyer must suck: when you’re Jewish and allotted to defend a neo-Nazi accused of a racist slaying. This is ultimately a story of redemption for the accused white power supporter, but that doesn’t make the opening attack — in which an Indian man is kicked to death by skinheads in the streets of Montreal — any less brutal.
