Zoe Saldana set the mercury rising, dressed in a paneled gown by Prabal Gurung for the 2012 CFDA awards in NYC June 4.
The CFDA's, which were held in Lincoln Center, saw gliterati from the fashion and entertainment worlds gather to honor the year's best designers.
Zoe, attired in the Black Silk Crepe Graphic Insert Gown from Prabal Gurung's Fall 12 collection was easily one of the night's most elegantly-dressed women. The long-sleeved gown had a daring V-neckline with sheer panels in the sleeves and middle as well as a sheer skirt which showed off the star's slim figure.
The panels not only showcased her toned arms and upper body, but it added drama to an otherwise simple black gown. The long transparent skirt gave us a view of her enviable pins while also rocking one of the year's popular trends.
She matched it with a pair of black quadruple-strap heels by Nicholas Kirkwood for Prabal Gurung which echoed the graceful silhouette of her dress.
As for face paint, the actress had black smoky eye makeup with pink blush and lip color which set off the dark color of the outfit well. Her hair was parted in the middle and pulled back to focus attention on the PG gown.
Anything this unusual would have been hard to pull off for most stars but Z did it with a bang!
Judging from the number of tweets Prabal Gurung got complimenting her and the gown, she must have had one amazing evening. The two arrived at Lincoln Center together, with Prabal wearing a black tuxedo for the occasion.
Now that's what we call a power couple!
