Kareena Kapoor returned on set for Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine and packed on the sexiness for filming the item song Halkat Jawani on June 5.

The film's last schedule wrapped May 24 at the 80% completion mark.

Bhandarkar tweeted the above photo of Kareena dolling up for the item song on Tuesday, June 5 with the Tweet:

"My #Heroine #Kareena gearing up for #HalkatJawani."

Earlier, Bhandarkar Tweeted:

"The king of item songs Ganesh Acharya on the sets of #Heroine, weaving his magic wand on #HalkatJawani"

The song, scored by Salim and Suleman and sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, was recorded on May 28.

Kareena plays an actress in the film, named Mahi Arora. Madhur says Mahi "is today's girl. The film is all about how she witnesses the ups and downs in her life."

Heroine will bow in theaters on September 21. It will clash at the box-office with Preity Zinta's Ishkq In Paris and Sridevi's comeback film, English Vinglish.
