Jewel in Character as June Carter Cash

Jewel is spending the summer in Atlanta, where she’s busy filming scenes for her lead role in the Lifetime biopic The June Carter Cash Story.
And we’re getting our first look at the star in action. On Tuesday, Jewel shared a photo of herself in character as the country singer, tweeting:

“Here I am as June in my trailer with her blue eyes and perfect teeth #ringoffire…”

The made-for-TV movie is based on John Carter Cash’s narrative of his mother’s life, Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash. Reese Witherspoon won an Academy Award for her role as Carter Cash in the 2005 biopic Walk the Line.
