Kajol ravished in a bespoke dress by designer Khushali Kumar at Karan Johar's birthday bash on Friday, May 25, 2012.
The gunmetal spaghetti strap gown, an adaptation of a number from Khushali's A/W 2011 collection presented during the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week, packed Kajol's sumptuous curves in a manner that was tasteful, yet tormenting.
Speaking to Sawfnews.com exclusively, Khushali said, "The dress is made of thousands of french tulle strips joined together combined with metal pieces to create ultra modern yet romantic look for this internal natural beauty. This perfect red carpet dress has a - peek a boo effect, as we go down the hip-line to hem. The strips are arranged in such a way from denser to fading and becomes partially nude, producing sensuality."
Creating the dress needed inspiration, and Khushali had some.
"Kajol has a special place in our heart; she is a great actress with magnificent reputation," says Khushali.
Adding, "It was not easy to create a dress that matches her persona. We had to put in all out effort to create a stylish yet romantic image for her. It is really thrilling that it was accepted and it added to her to romantic look."
Khushali, daughter of T-Series founder late Gulshan Kumar, is on a roll. She is currently working on her Resort Wear Spring Summer 2013 collection which is based on peace and spirituality.
The collection would be showcased at 'Who's Next Paris Show through June 30 - July 3, 2012.
Paris will be followed by a Coterie show in New York September 19 through September 21, 2012.
