Sanjay Dutt and Vivek Oberoi began shooting for Soham Shah's gangster flick Sher in Jaipur on Monday, June 11, 2012.
Reports that Vivek Oberoi was being dropped from Sher because he provoked Salman Khan with his comment 'Sher is bigger than Tiger,' seem to be wrong going by Vivek's following Tweet on June 11.
"In d city of legends,Jaipur 2day wid team Ashtavinayak! Shooting day 1 of Soham Shah's movie 2day--epic sequence wid my big bro sanju baba!"
Immediately after his return from the IIFA 2012 Awards, Vivek headed to Jaipur for filming of Sher.
Pakistani model turned actress Humaima Malick reportedly plays the female lead in the film. She made her Bollywood debut with Shoaib Mansoor's Bol (2011).
Sher is set in Gujarat and is based on the life of Sarman Munja Jadeja (played by Sanjay Dutt), a leader of the maher community, who was an ordinary mill worker at Maharana Mill in Porbandar area.
Jadeja became a gangster and don after he killed the local gangster Devu Vagher, who was hired by the mill owner to break a strike. Jadeja was shot dead by Kala Keshav gang in 1986.
