Australian Nicole Kidman made paparazzi go wild on the red carpet twice during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival in France.
The first time she stepped out for the photocall of her film "The Paperboy" in a blood orange pencil dress with opentoe heels. Later the same day, she changed into a shimmering red Lanvin gown for the film's premiere Thursday May 24, 2012.
Both looks were dramatically different, but they each flattered Kidman's classic look and were appropriate enough for a red carpet event.
For premiere night, Nicole wowed in a strappy scarlet gown by Lanvin which skimmed the floor. The backless dress made for plenty of red carpet drama. Its full skirt had a slit on the side which was barely visible, but paid subtle compliment to the wearer when she moved.

She matched the dress with vintage silver earrings and glittering bracelets by Cartier and a pair of Casadei heels. Pulling the look together was a gold clutch bag by Lanvin.
Her makeup was kicked up a notch, with winged black eye pencil, generous blusher and pink lips.
As for her famous red mane, it was worn in a braided low chignon. The style made sure her entire back was revealed, but also continued the elegance of her outfit.
Kidman posed for the cameras with costars Zac Efron and Lee Daniels, making for a very glam threesome.

At the photocall, her sleeveless citrus dress, made from stretch crepe by designer Antonio Berardi, was traditionally cut and made the most of the 44-year-old star's amazing figure. The high neckline and conservative style of the number took on a fresh appearance done in such a bright hue. Its color complemented la Nicole's red mane well, as well as her porcelain skin.
Maroon peeptoes by Manolo Blahnik extended the length of her pins, while a pair of ornamented barrettes, Omega watch, and dangling gold earrings pulled her ensemble together.
Her tresses were worn straight and curled just at the ends, framing her face. As for makeup, the Oscar winner wore a warm smoky eye, heavy red blush, and matte lipstick in deep pink. The use of a bold blush with a toned-down lip made sure the Berardi took center stage.
What we love about her is the fact that even after so many years at Cannes, she never ceases to amaze.
