Aishwarya Rai Poised To Resume Acting

Aishwarya Rai, Bollywood's most popular actress, is ready to sign her next films, having taken a first ever break in a career spanning 18 years, for Mommy duties.
The 38-year-old walked the Cannes 2012 red carpet this May with looking adorable, in a silent but strong rebuttal to her child-birth weight gain critics.
A reliable source close to the actress tells sawfnews.com that having enjoyed her break with her baby daughter Aradhya, Aishwarya is ready to resume her acting career. She is reading scripts right now and after shortlisting the scripts she will meet filmmakers to sign up for her next.
She is reported to have liked one script in particular from a director known to give actresses their due.
Our insider says its wrong for people to call Aishwara's resumption of her career a comeback, because she never went away.
"It was just a long vacation/break which she took after working for over 18 long years."
Aishwarya's last film was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish in 2010. The film featured Hrithik Roshan as the male lead.
She had started filming for Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine in May 2011 but had to drop out of the project due to her pregnancy. The film, which was announced during Cannes 2011, is currently under production with Kareena Kapoor as the female lead.
Aishwarya gave birth to daughter Aradhya on November 16, 2011.
