Imran Khan in Upcoming Romance Drama

Imran Khan, director Punit Malhotra and producer Karan Johar have teamed up again for a romance drama, having earlier worked together in the 2010 romcom, I Hate Luv Storys, which additionally headlined Sonam Kapoor.
Punit says he always wanted Imran in the new film and the script was written keeping him in mind, and in the loop.
Punit says the film has a love story vibe, "but this time around the script has much more to offer."
The team has yet to zero in on the female lead.
Karan tells the TOI, "We are in the process of casting the female lead as she has a challenging part and we want someone who would have perfect chemistry with Imran."
Filming for the yet to be titled film will start in October for a mid 2013 release.
Imran, 29, recently wrapped filming of Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mann Dola. He will begin filming for Milan Luthria's Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again in August.
Earlier this month Imran was signed on as the male lead in 2 States, a joint production by Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar. Filming will begin in early 2013.
